Hello again!

I’ve avoided this page for the longest time. Here are the projects that I’ve done in the last year.

I’ve gotten into doilies. And figuring out patterns from pictures.

I’ve also done another 30 day challenge where I made a blanket.

I should put more pictures on here. I just have to find them

Hello!

It has been quite a while and I do apologize for not keeping up with blog, but I have been rather busy with school and have not as much crochet as I would like. I will try to post a lot of updates today or sometime this weekend, but I cannot make any guarantees. I’m currently avoiding studying for my Sociology exam because I really do not like the class so it wouldn’t really matter to me on how well I did today. It’s kind of sad to say that………….but my teacher is a bad professor.

Updates for my crochet projects: Daisy Granny Square Afghans

Regarding the granny square afghan:

I finished the first of the two. Here are a bunch of pictures. 🙂

30 Days of Crochet: Day 30!

I cannot believe that it’s the last day already. Currently typing this as I allow my nails to dry. Too bad you can’t really crochet after you paint your nails.

Day 30: What’s your name on Ravelry? If you don’t have a Ravelry account, why?

Lemme check…………………………………..It’s justducky423.

I am not too good with Ravelry. I love the site because I like how they have a ton of patterns, but other then that- I’m not too good at using it. You know how people add all their projects and such? Well, I don’t use that on there. I’d rather use my blog to make it easier for me. That’s really it.

Since today was the last day of the “30 Days of Crochet”….I think that I’ll take a small break from doing this because I need to finish the granny squares and then do the ends and put it together. Not too much, but it takes up time. That, and I need to practice French more (because I have been neglecting it due to crochet, love both). I need to do other things too. Like a lot of cleaning. And exercising. And studying…..

I’ll be back in a week or so.

30 Days of Crochet: Day 29!

Day 29: Do you have any tips, or things that you’ve learned from crocheting?

Pace yourself when you are a beginner. For example, if you just started to crochet- DO NOT CROCHET FOR 6 HOURS AT A TIME! It hurts like hell. Sometimes the patterns do not work out as they say they would. Test out what you like, do designs in random colors. If it doesn’t always work out- then you made something new. 🙂

Totally random now, I cannot believe that it has already been 29 days since I started this. Jeepers. That’s a long time. Also, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is on again….I’m not sure why I keep watching it because the basilisk has scared the hell out of me since I was a small child, but I watch it. Perhaps it’s because Kenneth Branagh is in it. I loved him as Iago and Hamlet.

As for my current crochet project: I have 50 squares left out of the 200.

30 Days of Crochet: Day 28!

I’m doing this to avoid Doctor Who because it’s making me mad. Listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, not my favorite, but it’s helping a bit.

Day 28: Do you do any other crafts besides crocheting? What are they, and did learning crochet come before or after learning these other crafts?

I know how to sew and draw (Not very good, but I try). I started out doing needlepoint when I was a little girl and then learned how to sew on patches and such when I did girl scouts. I used to draw a lot before college, but not as much now. Last year, I learned how to latch hook when I was at our annual Civil War Reenactment and I’m starting to enjoy that. I also learned how to spin using a spindle and a spinning wheel. This was all before I learned how to crochet.

I also used to do a lot of other crafts when I was younger. I liked making sculptures and I also enjoyed jewelry. I would also make hemp jewelry because I learned how to do that at camp. I also the basic things that they taught in art and my old marketing class.

I guess that’s it. All of that was before crochet. I still am unable to knit.
